About the Practitioner:

Working in Art Education has provided me with many skills & gifts that carry over quite effectively & fluidly into the field of Hypnosis. Having a natural propensity for teaching affords me valuable insights into HOW people learn.  Research shows that each person absorbs information differently & has their own unique mode of learning. A built in preference style, if you will, that when utilized will allow for the best learning outcomes with maximum retention. One person may learn best from a verbal approach; where attending lectures and hearing the material orally allows for optimum learning. Another may respond better to a hands-on approach where they learn best by "doing". Others need visual stimulation & learn more easily when pictures, graphs, etc are incorporated into their instruction. This ability to match the learning style with the person allows me to navigate & guide the Hypnosis Client using their own preference style in order to produce the desired results.

Visual learners would be guided throughout the hypnotic session using images, mental pictures & scenes that they create internally rather than being guided by words alone. Someone else may find this difficult to do and will respond more readily to a narrative approach. No one way is better than the other. The important thing is to find the style that resonates the best with each client and tailor the session along those line.
